I hate to break the news but it's unlikely you will be able to have Messi in you FPL team. That is after Spanish reported Semra Hunter has reported that Man city are no longer looking to sign the 6 time ballon do'r winner.
It was reported that the reason city are no longer attempting to sign Messi is due to his age and his wages. Messi is currently earning £89 million a year which along with his age is thought to be the thing that broke down the talks between Messi and City.
"I have it on good authority from someone close to the situation that Manchester City are not going to bid for Lionel Messi," Hunter told Sky Sports News. "Based on the information I have, as of today, that door is closed.
While it is lightly we could see Messi leave the Nou camp this summer it is unlikely we will see him in Man city's team. Where do you think he will go?
